Gardening
I have grown to enjoy gardening a lot. In the summer of 2013 I worked in the organic garden at Ithaca College. Now, in the summer of 2014, I have my own garden plot at the Ithaca Community Gardens. I plan to grow tomatoes, broccoli, basil and lots of peppers.
Roller Derby
Now retired, I played roller derby for four years as an Ithaca Sufferjet and a Utica Rollergirl. During my second year as a skater I was Captain of the Utica Rollergirls. Roller derby was by far the best thing that I have ever been a part of.
Tree Climbing
In the spring of 2014 I took a tree climbing course at the Cornell Tree Climbing Institute. Since then, I have been slowly purchasing my own gear in order to be able to continue practicing my skills. I also hope to obtain a job that utilizes my climbing skills while tracking invasive species.
Hobbies and Activities
Crafts
I am pretty crafty, if I do say so myself. I enjoy working with fabrics and yarn. I learned to crochet about 20 years ago and have made several baby blankets. I have also started experimenting with making some of my own clothing.
