Environmental Sentinels - Focus on natural history, biodiversity, primitive technology skills, field identification, ability to read land-use history and an appreciation for modern ecological science and natural resource management.

Environmental Science and Technology -Focus on the scientific principles and technological advances fundamental to understanding human impact on the environment.

Earth Systems Science - This course takes a whole-systems approach to develop an integrated understanding of the physical, chemical, biological, and human interactions that determine the past, current, and future states of the earth.

Human-Environment Geography - This course uses natural science, social science, and humanistic approaches to study the complex relationships between human physical and cultural systems through time and space.

Environmental Ethics - Topics include literature, philosophy, mythology, and history from around the world. By exploring the myriad ways human beings have viewed nature, students will gain a better grasp of why human-environment interactions are in crisis and what it means to be human in such a world.

Geography and Planning: Water Use and Management - This course considers the ways that technology, economics, policy, politics, ideology, and culture figure into society’s interactions with the hydrologic cycle and its use of water as a resource.

Geology - Investigation of the solid earth and its movements through plate tectonics and the exploration of how these processes affect and are affected by human activity.

Conservation Biology - Investigation of biological principles to reverse the trends in species loss that we are currently experiencing with the examination of local and global conservation efforts.
